Tuesday tip of the day

Did you know that you can blush your cloth doll with store bought blush?

After your cloth doll is stuffed, simply apply the powder to the cheeks and nose etc.... When you are satisfied with the color (remember less is best) place a warm washrag over the blush and let it sit for a minute. Then gently blow dry. A matte spray sealer may be used, but I find I don't always need it.

The higher end make-up works best because there is more pigment.

(This works with most fibers except silky fabrics)

Some of my first Cloth Doll Creations...

The dolls pictured are some 20 years old. I love all kinds of cloth dolls and none are off limits for me. These dolls are from my own patterns and were sold at various doll shows. Back then the local doll shows were 5 days long and mostly held in the local malls. My kids always attended with me and considered it a holiday from school. They always looked forward to the shows because mommy spent more on them than she made...lol
